Manas reports on-going drill planning exercises in Kyrgyzstan

BAAR, SWITZERLAND, June 21st, 2010.

Manas Petroleum Corp. ("Manas") (OTCBB: MNAP) is pleased to report that the closed Joint Stock Company JSC South Petroleum Company, in which Manas holds a 25% participating interest, continues on-going drill planning exercises despite recent public turmoil.

JSC South Petroleum Company continues to conduct drilling preparations within the Nanai license and on-going in-country monitoring of the security situation in the field of operations.

In Kyrgyzstan Manas has signed a US $56 million farm-out agreement with Santos a large independent Australian oil and gas producer. The development of the company's neighboring Tajikistan license is now covered by an option farm out agreement also with Santos.

Manas is currently maturing its enormous resource potential by acquiring seismic and drilling.
